Watier Lock
As the Trystram Lock is currently closed for works, all pleasure craft entering or leaving the marina must now use the Watier Lock.
To use the Watier Lock, boaters must contact Dunkirk VTS on VHF channel 73 before passing through. Please refer to the GPMD instructions available below, which provide the opening times, access requirements and navigation procedures to be followed.
All boaters are asked to maintain a continuous watch on VHF channel 73 while navigating within the port area.
Mooring lines have been installed in the Watier Lock to accommodate pleasure craft during lock transits.
If no call is received within the specified time, the GPMD may allocate these time slots to commercial traffic.
Finally, the GPMD reminds users that, regardless of its control, the Watier Lock remains closed in the event of strong northerly winds, in order to protect the structure.
Yacht owners who wish to use the Darse 1 lock, are asked to make a request to ‘Dunkirk VTS’ (VHF - Channel 73).
